What’s been happening:

I, my wife, Kathryn McDermott Bowers, and our three children, Marshall, Kyle, and Laurel, have been living in Yunnan Province, Southwest China, for the past 13 years. I have been working with a Christian non-governmental organization conducting poverty alleviation and humanitarian work among the minority ethnic groups of Yunnan Province. Kathy has been home schooling our children, but is now serving as a teacher part-time at Kunming International Academy, where our children now attend school. Whenever we are back in the U.S. for visits, we always enjoy traveling up to State College, PA, and visiting the PSU Main Campus. In April 2008, I took my two boys up to Poe Paddy State Park (Seven Mountains area) to do some camping and fishing during the first week of trout season. Boy, did that bring back some great memories for me, as well as create some new and lasting memories for my boys.
